History

  • The earliest traces of primitive people - ape people in Vietnam were first discovered in 1960 at Do mountain, Thanh Hoa. Due to the typical characteristics of this monument system, the archaeologists said that there existed a primary cultures of Paleolithic period: Do Mountain Culture. Do mountain culture system includes a variety of primary sites of Paleolithic period discovered in Thanh Hoa: Do mountain, Nuong mountain, Quan Yen I mountain, No mountain.

  • Following the Son Vi culture was Hoa Binh culture (named according to Hoa Binh province - where detected the first vestiges of this culture). About dating, Hoa Binh culture was 11,000 years from now, ie in the beginning of Toan Tan period. In Thanh Hoa, population centers at that time were concentrated in the western mountains belonging to Cam Thuy district, Ba Thuoc district, Thach Thanh district, Ngoc Lac district... They usually lived in caves and wide and airy lime mountains near large rivers and streams. The archaeologists have identified them as direct descendants of Son Vi culture owners in Thanh Hoa, and themselves - cultural residents of Hoa Binh culture in Thanh Hoa, continuing to grow and making Bac Son culture later.

Culture

  • When mentioning Thanh Hoa, taste of Thanh countryside, fermented pork roll (also called nem qua) must be included. Each fermented pork roll represents attached emotion of Thanh Hoa people seeing off tourists. Only with pork skin, additive, pork, spices, lucerne leaves and some traditional secret, the small block with green of banana leaves, white of bamboo string crackers that attract tourists.

  • More than 600 years have passed, Lam Kinh today has becomed a heroic historic monument of the nation.

Tourism

  • This bridge is tied with heroic legendary in the period of Anti-American demonstration. The bridge connects Ham Rong mountain and Ngoc mountain crossing Ma river.

  • Sam Son town is 15 km far from Thanh Hoa city on the east and 170 km from Hanoi. This is one of the famous resorts of Vietnam from the early 20th century.

  • Hai Hoa beach is located in Dong Hai hamlet and Giang Son hamlet of Hai Hoa commune, Tinh Gia district, it is 2 km far from center of Tinh Gia on the east
